SPAIN, Madrid. The meeting of the organizing Committee of Meat Attraction at IFEMA MADRID, confirmed the good results of its last edition. Therefore, the International Meat Sector Fair will take place for the 5th time from 6-8 March 2023, becoming a biennial event and deepening its firm support for the strategic needs of the meat and meat product production and marketing and auxiliary industry sectors.
At the meeting of the committee, a body made up of the sector's main players, the attendees underlined that the trade fair has become a key instrument for the development, promotion and growth of the meat industry and that its roadmap seeks to make Spain the main hub for marketing meat products at an international level.
In this regard, the participants at the meeting talked about the success of the guest programme, which brought in 100 international buyers from 42 countries. Similarly, in collaboration with ICEX trade offices around the world, Meat Attraction hosted 559 meetings during the B2Meat event. The meetings attracted 42 buyer companies from 15 countries who made contact with 50 exporters, at B2B monographs by product categories. This is one way that the fair provides participants with a springboard platform for international expansion.
Meat Attraction 2023 is thus off to a good start with the impetus from the last edition, attended by 9,000 trade professionals. This is the result of the meat sector's commitment to support the only vertical fair for this important industry in southern Europe. With more than 300 exhibitors, brands and participating companies, this monographic event for the meat industry and its entire value chain has established itself as its largest business platform.
Meat Attraction is co-organised by IFEMA MADRID and its strategic partner for this sector, the National Association of Meat Industries of Spain, ANICE, and has the support of the inter-professional organisations in the livestock-meat chain, INTERPORC, PROVACUNO, INTEROVIC, INTERCUN, ASICI and AVIANZA, as well as leading sector associations, such as ANAFRIC and AGEMCEX.
