AUSTRIA, Vienna. Packaging solutions provider Coveris appoints Christian Kolarik as its new CEO. Kolarik replaces Jakob A. Mosser, who will assume the role of Executive Chairman.

According to a Coveris press release, Jakob A. Mosser transformed Coveris into one of the European leaders of the paper and plastic flexibles packaging industry.

"Christian Kolarik, whom I have known and cooperated with for many years, is a true industry expert. Since joining Coveris in 2018, he has been instrumental in the company’s successful transformation. He is the ideal person to take over and lead Coveris, continue our international expansion and, above all, further advance our sustainability strategy," said Mosser. “I look forward to working closely with him and the team also in my new role.”

In 2022, Kolarik worked as the COO at Coveris, adding to his longstanding career in the global packaging industry of more than 20 years.

“Our strong commitment to sustainability with our No Waste vision and our recently established ReCover Recycling Business Unit helps not only to consistently avoid product, packaging and production waste but is also the driving force behind our research and development work,” said Kolarik.
