ICELAND, Garðabær. Marel is pleased to announce its acquisition of Sleegers Technique, a Dutch provider of interleaving, stacking, loading, and slicing solutions for food processers globally. Stronger offering to processers

Sleegers Technique is known for interleaving, loading, stacking, and slicing solutions. The solutions provided for applications in hamburger, bacon and cheese processing are well known in the food service and retail markets. The company is also experiencing growing interest from processors of alternative protein products, poultry and fish. Recently, it introduced an innovative slicing technology to the market that offers product repositioning capabilities, that has received very positive feedback from customers.

Sleegers Technique enjoys a global customer base with particularly strong presence in Europe and North America. Together, Marel and Sleegers Technique are in a better position to provide solutions and services for customers in the case-ready and prepared food segments around the world.

The two companies will build on Sleegers Technique’s technical expertise and market knowledge in the case-ready and prepared foods, while leveraging Marel’s digital platforms and global reach in sales and aftermarket services for future growth. The added value of proximity of Sleegers Technique’s facilities in Nieuwkuijk, and Marel’s site in Boxmeer in the Netherlands will enable the companies to work closely and efficiently together.
