Visions of tomorrow’s meat markets and products

 
The development of the world’s most important meat markets and visions of tomorrow’s meat products are themes of the international Meat Vision Conference on 10 and 11 May at IFFA.
 
The complementary programme of IFFA – Technology meats Business: No. 1 for processing, packaging, selling – gives visitors the chance to add to their specialist knowledge and exchange ideas and opinions with experts from the sector. The international Meat Vision Conference on 10 and 11 May, Hall 8.1, is one of the highlights of the complementary programme in Frankfurt/Main.
 
From 10.00 to 13.00 hrs on 10 and 11 May the conference will take a close look at subjects of importance to the international meat-processing industry. It is organised by Messe Frankfurt in cooperation with ‘afz – allgmeine fleischer zeitung’ and ‘Fleischwirtschaft’ trade publications and the German Institute of Food Technologies (Deutsches Institut für Lebensmitteltechnik – DIL).
 
Theme on Monday, 10 May is: ‘The meat markets of the world – an analysis of the surplus and deficit regions in times of economic crisis’. Five experts analyse the development of meat production and processing in the world’s leading meat-processing regions – Europe, Russia, Asia, North and South America – and offer prognoses of the course of business in the future.
 
On Tuesday, 11 May ‘Visions for the meat products of the coming decade’ will be presented. On this day, the conference will take place under the auspices of the German Institute of Food Technologies (DIL) and present the results of recent research on the production of meat and meat products.
