Both companies work to a hands-on management style and have a strong focus on quality. De Winter Natuurdarmen will become part of Van Hessen Group. The companies' joining forces serve a long-term focus, aimed at continuity in their relationships with both customers and suppliers.

De Winter Natuurdarmen will pursue its activities using its own name as part of Van Hessen Group. André De Winter will continue to manage the daily operations at De Winter Natuurdarmen. De Winter Natuurdarmen produces and processes natural casings and animal by-products. The family business was set up in 1957 by the parents of its current members of the board André and Walter De Winter. The company's base is in Lokeren, Belgium. Around 150 people work for De Winter Natuurdarmen in Belgium and abroad. In 2015, De Winter Natuurdarmen's turnover was well over €16 Mio.
