C. In a recent audio report, U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) Senior Vice President Dan Halstrom said, the final 2010 results for U.S. beef and port exports were outstanding. Beef exports set a new single-year value of $4.08 billion.

This result broke the pre-BSE record of $3.86 billion in 2003 and topped the 2009 total by nearly $1 billion. Pork exports recorded the second-highest volume and value results ever – 4.28 billion pounds valued at $4.78 billion – exceeded only by the record-large totals of 2008.
