Spanish exports of pigs to Vietnam grew by 53.7% in 2018, with a total of 13,004 t representing a turnover of € 11.2 mill., 34% more than the previous year, according to the latest data from Datacomex prepared by Interprofesional del Porcino de Capa Blanca (Interporc).

The Vietnamese pork market is of great relevance worldwide, as it is the fifth largest market in global consumption, and the fifth Asian market in per capita consumption behind China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea.

In this sense, the organization includes various promotional activities in this country to support Spanish meat and white pork companies. Precisely in these days and on the occasion of the fair Food & Hotel Vietnam, it has organized a tour to visit Vietnamese importers and local supermarkets interested in importing pork products.
