SPAIN, Madrid. The first edition of Meat Attraction will take place from 18 to 20 October 2017 in Madrid, Spain. It was organized by IFEMA with support from the National Meat Processing Industries Association of Spain (ANICE).
It will be an opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises and large companies in the meat and meat derivatives sector to meet with industry suppliers and distributors.
The international buyer's programme and hosted buyer initiative, which brings guests selected by the exhibitors themselves to the event, are two of the valuable features. The trade fair is offering to participating companies seeking to expand their business portfolios and access new markets
The Spanish meat sector is the fourth most important industry of the economy. It ranks just behind the automobile sector, the oil and fuel industry and the electricity production and distribution sector. Its turnover equals €22,600 mill. with exports worth €5,500 mill., with a very positive trade balance of 494% This represents 21.0% of the entire Spanish food sector, 2.1% of the total GDP, 13.1% of GDP of the industrial sector and almost 4% of the total turnover of the Spanish industry as a whole. A sector made up of more than 3,000 companies and 84,000 direct jobs, representing 23.5% of employment in the Spanish food industry.
