Costa Food Group has achieved the Aenor Conform Animal Welfare certification, thus becoming the first white pig meat to achieve this in all its livestock farms (own and integrated), throughout its entire production process: from breeding (Coastal Feeds) and transformation of the pig (Costa Food Meat) to obtaining its meat products (Casademont).

Costa Food Group is one of the main producers of the pig sector in Europe. It has more than 600 integrated farms and through its companies maintains a transversal commitment to quality linked to the utmost respect for the care of the product.

"We are very satisfied with this recognition, which shows the commitment of our brand and of all our employees to animal welfare and to consumers, in order to provide them with natural products from the outset". Jorge Costa, CEO of Costa Food Group, he also points out that "we are also the first national group to achieve this certification with a volume of farms that exceeds 600 livestock farms."

The Aenor Conform Animal Welfare certificate certifies that the companies comply with the requirements of the Aenor Animal Welfare model, developed together with the Institute for Agrofood Research and Technology (IRTA) and based on the Welfare Quality reference, the main European reference in the field of animal welfare.

Aenor is a global entity that already operates in 90 countries in the activities of certification, verification, validation, inspection, analysis, training and information services.
