GERMANY, Kemnath. The Ponnath Group is strengthening its marketing squad. As of January 19, 2021, Dominik Küstner will devote himself to the vegan and vegetarian product range of the Vantastic Foods brand and frozen convenience products. This is reported today by the Upper Palatinate sausage manufacturer.

Marketing manager Dieter Hartmann will continue to be responsible for the sausage range at Ponnath, including the "Ponnath 1692" brand and the associated Traditionshof program, which is particularly dedicated to animal welfare.

Dieter Hartmann and Dominik Küstner both report to Co-CEO and Managing Director Marketing and Sales Jens Plachetka. Overall management of the Ponnath Group remains the responsibility of owner and CEO Michael Ponnath.

The animal welfare range under the brand "Ponnath 1692. Traditionshof" bears the seal "For More Animal Welfare" of the German Animal Welfare Association in the premium level.

By expanding its plant-based division, the Group is appealing to sustainably oriented consumers and serving the growing demand for substitute products. With its plant-based alternatives, however, Vantastic Foods is not only targeting vegans, Ponnath emphasizes, but also vegetarians and flexitarians. The plant-based meat and sausage substitutes are produced by Rodag Food GmbH, another Ponnath Group company.
