AMI Spółka is one of the largest companies in the Polish poultry industry.

The poultry processor AMI, which has a site in Mikstat in the Wielkopolska Voivodeship with 781 employees, is affected.

The company announced that the corona virus has so far been detected in 233 employees. The AMI Board of Directors has therefore decided to completely stop production in Mikstat.

In the future, the company intends to test all employees and thoroughly disinfect the entire plant. Subsequently, the company intends to monitor further developments with repeated examinations. To support the company, the voivodeship has provided a mobile test station on site.

AMI, founded in 1978, produces around 100 poultry products, including ready-to-fry ducks and geese, as well as ready-to-eat meals and sausage products made from poultry meat. The main market is Poland, but parts of the production are also exported. According to its own information, AMI supplies almost all chains in Germany with ducks and geese.
