USA, Washington. The National Chicken Council of the USA (NCC) announced the installment of Mike Popowycs as its chairman 27 October, during the association’s annual conference.
Popowycs is the vice chariman and chief financial officer of Case Foods, where he was elected to the Troutman, North Carolina-based company’s board of directors in 2005. He has served on the NCC’s board since 2012. His background includes previously working in various financial positions with Perdue Farms Inc. Popowycz earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Moravian College, Bethelehem, Pennsylvania.
NCC also announced the appointment of Ben Harrison as its 2016–2017 vice chairman. Harrison’s background is also in the financial industry, having worked as an auditor at Ernst and Young before joining OSI Group’s Amick Farms LLC, Batesburg, South Carolina. He earned a bachelor’s degree in financial management from Clemson Univ.
Additionally, NCC announced the appointment of Mark Kaminsky as its secretary-treasurer. Kaminsky is the chief operating officer at Park Ridge, Illinois-based Koch Foods.
