The event is being organised by Deutscher Fachverlag. The Cooperation Partners are German Butchers’ Association (Deutscher Fleischer-Verband – DFV), Federation of German Machine and Plant Manufacturers (Verband Deutscher Maschinen und Anlagenbau – VDMA) and Messe Frankfurt. In an initial, interdisciplinary section, the Congress, which takes place in the ‘Portalhaus’ entrance building of Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., will review sustainability in the meat-processing sector, one of the most important subjects in the sector. Against the background of increasing globalisation and changing social values, experts will discuss the strategies and problems of sustainable concepts. Subsequently, two concurrent forums will spotlight international subjects, such as Russia and Europe: Closeness for Sustainable Relationships’ (German / English), as well as national issues, such as the 2013 afz survey entitled “What companies invest in sustainability” (German).
