Korea A new fair will open its doors
The new trade fair and conference format will be focussing on developments by and offerings from the international food technology sector and their relevance for the markets in North and East Asia. The premiere will take place from 25 to 28 November 2020 at the Coex Center in the South Korean capital city Seoul, parallel to the Coex Food Week, the leading trade fair for food and beverages in the markets of North and East Asia.
South Korea is one of the centres of the fast-growing food industry in the Asia-Pacific region. Experts estimate that by 2020, 40% of the global turnover will be earned in this region. The Northern Asian food industry alone has been displaying an annual growth rate of more than 30% since 2010. The demand for technological solutions that satisfy the growing consumer demands made of the quality and safety of food and beverages and that enable more efficient production methods is correspondingly high.

The Food Industry Technology Show Korea will take place at the same time as the Coex Food Week. Together with the leading Korean trade fair for food and beverages, the new event covers the entire value creation chain from production to marketing. The accompanying Technical Programme, developed by DLG, Coex and further partners, will focus not only on topical themes from the fields of food processing, packaging and ingredients, but also on the increasing digitalization of production and processing options.
