King's Command Foods, a processor of pre-portioned meats, has purchased a frozen-food plant in Versailles, Ohio, from JNR Corp.

With this deal King’s Command will double its production volumes.

Currently, King’s produces more than 250,000 lbs of product per day at its Kent facility. The new plant, which is capable to produce further 250,000 lbs of product a day, includes 70,000 square feet of processing space and about 1 million cubic feet of storage space.

The company plans to start production at the facility in spring 2007, thereby extending its reach into the Midwest and Eastern regions. Furthermore approximately100 workers will be hired to staff the plant.
