International quality competitions at IFFA 2010

The quality competitions of the German Butchers' Association (Deutscher Fleischer-Verband - DFV) have a long tradition at IFFA. International butchers will once again make an impressive demonstration of the variety and innovativeness of their trade at the coming IFFA 2010.

These interesting competitions will be held on four of the five days of the fair in the competition area of Hall 6.1 at Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre. The organisers anticipate a large number of entries from home and abroad because the certificates and awards to be won are a recognised cachet for the outstanding quality of the winning products.

The German and international butchers' shops taking part enter products made by themselves for the following competitions:
  • European Competition for Platters, Snacks, Finger Foods and Party Service
  • International Sausage Quality Competition
  • International Quality Competition for Raw and Boiled Hams
  • ‘Grand Prix of the Best Sausages' - International Quality Compe-tition for Bratwurst, Boiled, Cured and Cooked Sausages

Competition entries should be sent to Deutscher Fleischer-Verband, Kennedyallee 53, D-60596 Frankfurt. Entry forms can be downloaded from www.fleischerhandwerk.de/wettbewerbe or ordered by e-mail at c.day@fleischerhandwerk.de or by telephone on +49 69 63302-250. The closing date for entries is 24 April 2010.
