IMCD N.V., a leading speciality chemicals and food ingredients distributor, announces the expansion of its technical capabilities with the addition of a new food & nutrition application laboratory in Hürth, Germany.

IMCD is a market leader in the sales, marketing and distribution of speciality chemicals and food ingredients. Its result-driven professionals provide market-focused solutions to suppliers and customers across EMEA, Asia-Pacific and Americas, offering a range of comprehensive product portfolios, including innovative formulations that embrace industry trends.

With this latest facility, IMCD Food & Nutrition is ready to support customers’ technical needs, sharing detailed application knowledge of its comprehensive speciality ingredient portfolio from leading supplier partners.

The lab will host various insight days and trend seminars, as well as providing the means to carry out bespoke customer project work. Collaborating closely with IMCD’s Food & Nutrition Centre of Excellence in Mechelen, Belgium, the new lab will further enhance the value-added service currently provided to suppliers and customers.

“The new lab will allow IMCD to share and discuss these opportunities with customers’ R&D teams, helping them to solve their consumer trend challenges. Examples range from producing fat and sodium-reduced and fiber-enriched clean label solutions for bakery and savoury applications, to sugar-reduced and high protein dairy products,” commented Michel Faes, IMCD Global Technical Director.
