GERMANY, Potsdam. The 65th International Congress of Meat Science and Technology 2019 will be held in Potsdam near Berlin, Germany, from 4 to 9 August 2019. It is themed ‘Meat for Diversifying Markets’ and will deal with various main topics.
Directly before the congress starts two interesting additional programmes are offered by the Max Rubner Institute (MRI) in Kulmbach and the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart.
A PhD course will be held for two days at the Max Rubner Institute and for another two days at the University of Hohenheim – Institute of Food Science and Biotechnology, Department of Food Physics and Meat Science. The minimum number of participants is 12 persons, the maximum is 25 persons.
Key topic at the Max Rubner Institut is ‘Underlying mechanisms of meat quality and animal welfare’ and key topic at the University of Hohenheim is ‘Raw fermented sausages from tradition to innovation’.
