USA, Baltimore, Maryland. Holly Poultry is expanding in Baltimore with a construction of a new processing plant. This is reported by the local Baltimore Business Journal.
The new facility will repurpose Holly Poultry's obsolete industrial site located in the St. Paul’s Community and give the business the space it needs to continue to expand its product offerings. Holly Poultry said workers have already begun setting steel, and it expects the new space to become operational in January 2017, then plans to renovate the existing facility which will house its wholesale commodity division.
The expansion is expected to result in the hiring of an additional 100 full-time employees. The facility will also feature a new test kitchen and new equipment including conveyors, marinating, sizing and deboning lines.
