Jacqueline Riedinger-Balzer from Mundolsheim in Alsace is the new Vice President of the International Butchers' Confederation.

At the autumn meeting in Brussels the members elected the French woman to succeed Jacques Kraft (3rd from left), who is stepping down on grounds of age. The qualified lawyer is from a family with a long history in the butchery business. In 1995 she took over her parents' business and, according to her own reports, has more than doubled sales since then.

Within the IBC she stands alongside vice presidents Prof. Dr. Reinhard Kainz (2nd from right) from Austria and Ad Bergwerff (2nd from left) from the Netherlands, behind President Jean-Marie Oswald (right) from Luxembourg. Martin Fuchs is the Secretary General of the Brussels-based association.
