Company will built a new distribution center

CANADA, Lévis, Quebec. Exceldor, a Canadian leader in poultry, is investing to accelerate its growth and meet ever growing demand. The cooperative, whose shipping facilities are working at full capacity, announced the construction of a new distribution centre that will become the hub of an agile and effective logistical chain. This was reported by Canada NewsWire.

The new 135,000 sq. ft. distribution centre will require a $35 mill. investment and employ about 60 workers. It will be strategically located in Beloeil next to the Jean-Lesage highway.

Construction will begin in spring 2018 with commissioning slated for the first quarter of 2019. The project requires prior consent from the City of Beloeil with whom Exceldor is working closely. Exceldor will retain ownership of the new facility and will decide in the coming weeks which specialized logistics company will manage the day to day operations.

Exceldor is a cooperative whose mission is to produce poultry that can be served with pride. Headquartered in Levis (Qc), the organization has production facilities in Saint-Anselme, Saint-Damase, Saint-Bruno-de Montarville and Saint-Agapit, all located in Quebec, as well as in Hanover, Ontario. It also co-owns three other businesses in the poultry sector: Unidindon and Giannone Poultry in Quebec, and Golden Valley in Ontario. The company markets its products under several brand names, including Exceldor and Butterball. It has over 2250 employees and revenues of approximately $700 mill.
