GERMANY, Gütersloh. The German Armed Forces support the Gütersloh district in the series tests. Cuts are planned for 5,000 Tönnies employees.
The district of Gütersloh is receiving support from the German Armed Forces: 13 forces with previous medical knowledge and 12 soldiers for documentation will assist in the testing of around 5,000 people working at Tönnies from today, the district administration announced. The district had initiated the request for help because the volunteers of the German Red Cross and the Malteser Hilfsdienst, but also the district's own rescue service are at the end of their capacities. The German Red Cross, Malteser Hilfsdienst and the rescue service of the district of Gütersloh had carried out both the series tests in mid-May, during which all production employees were tested, and the tests in the dismantling department at the Tönnies factory premises on June 16 and today.
