The international quality competitions organised by the German Butchers’ Association (Deutscher Fleischer-Verband – DFV) in Hall 4.1 are always a magnet for visitors.
At the competition area, butchers demonstrate their multi-faceted artisan skills and the quality of their products, and measure themselves against international competitors. New this year is the international quality competition for products in cans and jars, which takes account of the trend to convenience food.
Participants can enter ready-to-eat dishes, such as roulade, goulash, rissoles, stews and soups, as well as sausages in cans, jars, tubular bags, trays, etc. Other competition highlights include the 2nd International Front Cooking Competition and the International Competition for Young Butchers.
