China will send a mission to Argentina to inspect beef cattle slaughterhouses which could potentially be certified to export.

The Chinese government has restated its interest in opening up its market to Argentinian beef.

This comes after a visit by Argentinian authorities to China.

At the same time, Brazil is still waiting for the Chinese government to issue export certificates after agreeing, in March 2006, to resume beef imports from Brazil.
