The former Oetker manager is leaving the poultry specialist after just 16 months as Managing Director. He had come so that the German subsidiary could act more independently.

Andreas Unruhe, managing director of Plukon Vertriebs GmbH, is ending his employment. Unruhe had served as managing director since 2019 and played a key role in establishing the country structure of the poultry products supplier. The separation took place at the end of the year by mutual agreement.

As of January 1, 2021, Niels van Gestel will take over the duties as Managing Director in Germany in addition to his existing responsibilities as a member of the Plukon Food Group Board.

Peter Poortinga (CEO) regretted the departure of Andreas Unruhe, but respected the decision: "We expressly thank him for his support and commitment to Plukon Germany," said Poortinga. "For his further personal and professional career, we wish Unruhe the best."
