Italian meat producer Rigamonti, part of Brazil’s JBS meat processing group, has acquired Brianza Salumi, a producer and distributor of low-salt cured meats reports ESM. The acquisition will place Rigamonti on top of the cured meat market in the country, with an estimated turnover of about €300 mill.
Brianza Salumi, founded by the Vismara family in 1978, specialises in the production and distribution of organic and low-salt cured ham. The company reported a turnover of €14 mill. in 2018 and exported its products to 23 countries.
