BRAZIL, São Paulo Brazil's pork and poultry industry has lost 700 mill. reais ($241 mill.) due to a truck strike now entering its second week, the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA) said.
The association's president said last week 60 plants had closed temporarily. On Tuesday, ABPA said some remained shut because of roadblocks. Some companies have received court orders to have their trucks escorted by police pasts protests, however.
