FINLAND, Seinäjoki. The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority approved Atria's acquisition of 70% of Kaivon Liha Kaunismaa Oy (Kaivon Liha) shares. The approval does not include any terms or conditions. The deal between Atria and Kaivon Liha will be finalised and purchase price confirmed during October 2016.

Kaivon Liha focuses its business on the processing and wholesale of beef. The company's customers are mainly fast-food chains and other food service customers. Kaivon Liha has a strong market position in Finland as a manufacturer of high-quality hamburger and kebab products. The product range of Kaivon Liha complements Atria's product range in beef products.

Atria's annual net sales is expected to increase by about € 40 mill. Kaivon Liha production plant is located in Turku, Finland and has about 50 employees.
