The ban on exports of beef meat imposed by the Argentine government shall be eased. According to a decision of the Department of Trade and Industry the export shipment of an amount equal to 40% of the beef meat export of 2005 will be allowed from June until November 2006.
Both, the EU-Hilton-contingent and all exports of pre-cooked beef are not being subject to restrictions. The ban on exports had been enacted because of the hyperinflation in the country. Apparently, the rice in prices could at least be slowed down by this action.
