Denmark, Randers. Danish Crown's Swedish company KLS Ugglarps acquires charcuterie company Ingemar Johansson in Sverige AB. It thus strengthens its position within sausages and other processed products on the Swedish market.

Ingemar Johansson in Sverige AB was founded in the 1950s and produces charcuterie with a focus on Swedish food tradition and Swedish ingredients.

The acquisition of Ingemar Johansson in Sverige AB is in line with Danish Crown's 4WD strategy, which focuses on supplementing Danish Crown's strong position in slaughtering pigs and cattle with new activities in processing and breeding.

“KLS Ugglarps is developing very sensibly and today appears as the market leader in the Swedish market. Over the years, we have acquired several smaller companies in Sweden within processing and successfully integrated them into the existing setup. Our Swedish organization has both the capabilities and the resources to continue on that path, so there is absolute perspective in the acquisition of Ingemar Johansson AB”, says Jais Valeur, Group CEO of Danish Crown.
