Exhibitors have registered in great numbers for the Anuga Meat specialist fair in Cologne (13th to 17th October 2007), and the available gross exhibiting space of 48,000 m² is already completely booked. The companies that have registered to take part include Tyson, Smithfield, Perdigao, Sadia, Vion, JBS and Doux. About 800 suppliers from 40 countries are expected to exhibit at Anuga Meat. As a result, the specialist fair will not only be one of the largest segments within Anuga, it will also be even bigger and better than the already outstanding event of 2005. Anuga, which combines ten trade shows under one roof, will be attended by more than 6,000 suppliers from around 100 countries.
Particularly encouraging is the fact that a number of suppliers are returning to Anuga Meat following long absences in some cases. They include sausage suppliers such as Campofrio, Eggelbusch, Gelderland, Glocken-Beune, Houdek, Klümper, Rehm and Steinhaus, poultry suppliers such as Caillor and Storteboom, and meat companies such as Bembo, D&S Fleisch, Schulte & Sohn, Thomsen and Westfleisch. The fair will feature a group presentation from Romania for the first time. In addition, many companies such as Argal, Böklunder, Kupfer, HK Ruokatalo, Montorsi, Parmacotto, Reinert, Rose Poultry, Standard-Fleisch and Vossko have significantly expanded their exhibition areas and they will be represented in Cologne not only by their export divisions but by their entire sales teams.
From the poultry segment, the top companies that have registered for Anuga Meat include AIA, Amadori, Artislach, Avipal, Cedrob, Doux, Flagship, Friki, Gepro, Heidemark, LDC, Moy Parc, Perdigao, Perutnina, Rasic, Rose Poultry, Sadia, Stolle, Tyson, Van-O-Bel, Vossko and Wiesenhof.
From the meat segment, the participants include ABIEC, Allanasons, Bord Bia, Canda Porc, Dat-Schaub, Dawn, Gausepohl, INAC, Pilgrims Pride, Prime Meat, PPCS, HK Ruokatalo, Socopa, Tils, Tönnies, Van Drie Group, Vion, Vitelco and VLAM.
From the sausages segment, the companies that will be represented in Cologne are Abbelen, Abraham, Alcisa & Pick, Animex, Beretta, Böklunder, Campofrio, Citterio, Cremonini, Detry, Handl Tyrol, Hein, Houdek, Ifantis, Marten, Meica, Montorsi, Prosciutto di Parma, Reinert, Remagen, Sauels, Steinhaus, Wiltmann, Wolf and Zimmermann.
Anuga Meat will occupy Halls 5.1., 6 and 7 at the Cologne exhibition centre.
