The first products are expected to be available in the fourth quarter of this year both in gastronomy and in food retailing.

JUST announced that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the PHW Group to offer the vegetable egg replacement "JUST Egg" to consumers across Europe. Under the terms of the agreement, PHW Group and Eurovo Group will market the product throughout Europe.

JUST Egg is made from mung beans, but tastes like a conventional egg and behaves the same way when prepared. The protein content is comparable to that of a chicken egg, but it is cholesterol-free and contains no saturated fatty acids or artificial flavours. Furthermore, the product is gluten-free and all ingredients comply with the NON-GMO standard.

In the four months since the launch in September 2018, the company has sold the plant equivalent of three million chicken eggs in the USA, Hong Kong and Singapore, with China also on the company's roadmap for 2019. The companies offer is ideal for consumers who do not consume conventional eggs or animal proteins for health, dietary or ecological reasons.

"It is good news that we can offer JUST Egg to European consumers - a product that has exceeded all expectations in the US and is equivalent to conventional eggs. We will use all our sales experience and market knowledge to ensure that JUST has the best possible debut in Europe," said Peter Wesjohann, CEO of PHW Group.

In addition to the distribution agreement with the PHW Group, JUST announced in July 2018 that the Eurovo Group will manufacture the product in Europe. The European distribution will be taken over jointly by the PHW Group and Eurovo. The first products are expected to be available in the fourth quarter of this year both in gastronomy and in food retailing.
