Acquisition Bell takes over the Huber Group

fleischwirtschaft.com — SWITZERLAND, Basel. The European Competition Commission has given its unconditional approval for the acquisition of the Huber Group by Bell Ltd. This clearance means that all conditions for the definitive completion of the takeover are fulfilled.
The Huber Group is fully consolidated in the Bell Group from 1 March 2016 onwards. Bell announced its plans to take over the Huber Group on 16 December 2015.

The Huber Group comprises the Austrian market leader Hubers Landhendl in Pfaffstätt, Austria, the turkey specialist Süddeutsche Truthahn AG in Ampfing, Germany, the Schlierbach hatchery and the logistics company Frisch Express. Some 900 employees generate annual revenues of € 300 mill. The Huber Group applies an integrated production model and has more than 400 agricultural enterprises under contract.
