C. Innovative breakout topics, discussions on advanced intervention and analyzing techniques and a talk on food safety assessments are scheduled for the updated Advanced Listeria Intervention and Control conference.
Food-safety experts Joe Stout, director of global product protection, sanitation and hygienic design for Kraft Foods, and John Butts, vice president of research at Land O' Frost, will focus on the basics for process control, sanitary equipment design and sanitation best practices. They will lead the "back to basics" sessions.
A second track of presentations by major research universities will discuss advanced intervention techniques including DNA tracking techniques, new ingredient technologies for preventing growth and other emerging food-safety solutions.
The conference will be held at the Denver Convention Center in November this year.
