Van Hessen Two specialists join forces

De Winter Natuurdarmen and Van Hessen Group share a great passion for their products. Both companies work to a hands-on management style and have a strong focus on quality. De Winter Natuurdarmen will become part of Van Hessen Group. The companies' joining forces serve a long-term focus, aimed at continuity in their relationships with both customers and suppliers.

De Winter Natuurdarmen will pursue its activities using its own name as part of Van Hessen Group. André De Winter will continue to manage the daily operations at De Winter Natuurdarmen. Together, we have a wealth of experience in processing, selecting and distributing natural casings. That’s a distinct added value to our customers and suppliers.”

Founded in 1902, Van Hessen Group has evolved into one of the world’s leading companies for natural casings. Van Hessen Group has offices and factories in 13 countries and is active in more than 60 countries. Van Hessen Group is also active as a processor of animal by-products and supplies high-quality raw materials to the pharmaceutical industry. Around 2,000 people work for Van Hessen Group worldwide. In 2015, Van Hessen Group had a turnover of well over €200 Mio.

De Winter Natuurdarmen produces and processes natural casings and animal by-products. The family business was set up in 1957 by the parents of its current members of the board André and Walter De Winter. The company's base is in Lokeren, Belgium. Around 150 people work for De Winter Natuurdarmen in Belgium and abroad. In 2015, De Winter Natuurdarmen's turnover was well over €16 Mio.
