Sial Exports to China are booming

Chinese custumers still go for german food. According to the German Federal Statistical office, the branches’ sales to China rose in the first two month in 2016 by 62% up to € 254 mill.

At the trade fair Sial in Shanghai, German products found big interest. The exhibitors registered a record-breaking run said the German Export Assiciation for Food and Agriproducts (Gefa). Inter alia the sectors meat and meatproducts, dairy products and fruit juice were represented. Gefa registered a similar response at the fair Seoul Food & Hotel in South Korea.

Leader at the export business with China are, also in value, meat and meat products (€ 169 mill). It rose about 99%up to € 110 mill, followed by dairy products (+53% up to € 49 mill).

Peter Weishaupt, export manager of Haus Rabenhorst O. Lauffs GmbH & Co. KG, leads back the high interest of Chindese producers to a high insecuritiy of the Chinese Customers about food safety and the high safety level of German products.
