Food Service Halton appoints new Group CEO

Long-standing CEO of Halton Group, Heikki Rinne, will retire in the beginning of January, 2016. Heikki Rinne will have directed Halton for 13 years.

Kai Konola, Executive Vice President of Weather Business area at Vaisala Oyj and member of the company's Management Group has been nominated as Rinne's successor as Halton's new CEO. He has gained versatile experience in demanding executive positions in global technology companies.



During Heikki Rinne's years Halton has evolved into one of the world's leading providers of demanding indoor climate solutions. Heikki Rinne is retiring in a phase where Halton Group is growing and financially stable.

Halton Group specialises in indoor climate products, services and solutions as well as indoor environment management. The areas of expertise and product ranges include air diffusion, air flow management, ventilation fire safety, kitchen and galley ventilation, air filtration, and indoor environment management services. Halton provides solutions for commercial and public buildings, health care facilities and laboratories, as well as commercial kitchens and restaurants.

The company was founded in 1969 and currently has operations more than 30 countries. The company has production facilities in Finland, France, Hungary, Germany, the UK, Canada, China, Malaysia and the USA. The R&D facilities are located in the USA, Canada, the UK, Germany, France, Malaysia, China and Finland. In addition, Halton has license manufacturing in South Africa, Mexico, New Zealand and Australia. Halton employs 1,350 people (2014). The Group's net sales were €190 mill. in 2014.
