This year’s focus was on increased flexibility and improved efficiency. The 500-square-meter demo hall was filled with live demonstrations of deboning and trimming, whole muscle portioning and packing, and minced meat and sausage production.
Marel lines on display included the new DeboFlex for shoulder and ham deboning, StreamLine for close, real-time monitoring of KPIs, and Trim Management System for accurate fat measuring and contaminant detection.

In addition to numerous line demonstrations, representatives from the Innova team were on hand to show how meat processors can control their production, experience real-time monitoring, and base their decision-making on valuable key performance indicators that enable them to improve performance in terms of yield, throughput, quality, food safety, inventory levels, movement, and efficiency.

As usual, the Meat ShowHow featured a full line-up of interesting presentations led by Marel specialists and external keynote speakers. Topics included developments in the red meat industry and improving consistency at the point of purchase.

Feedback on the day was extremely positive. There was a dynamic energy at Progress Point all day, with plenty of new contacts made and old friendships rekindled. Our customers and potential customers continue to be impressed with Marel’s advanced systems and solutions, and our proactive customer service.
