The German Agricultural Society (DLG), co-organiser of Anuga FoodTec, honoured 11 companies behind the eight innovations with Gold and Silver awards at the fair in Cologne.

The award-winning technological innovations affect a range of product areas including cheese cutting, vitamins in rice, lactose-free dairy products, milk filling, sausage casings, ham treatment and robitics for combination convenience packaging.

In the field of meat and sausages World Pac International, headquartered in the Principality of Liechtenstein, has been honoured with a Gold award for a technology that allows flavours to be sucessfully transferred to the sausage or other foods wrapped in the casing.
