Karsten Deibjerg Kristensen has decided to leave Danish Crown following recent structural changes.

Karsten Deibjerg Kristensen joined Danish Crown 13 years ago after the acquisition of Friland, of which he was and remained CEO. Since then, he has been instrumental in strengthening Danish Crown's position and building up sales in Denmark - sales of fresh meat, food-service as well as retail products. In recent years, he has contributed to establishing a strong position for Danish Crown in Sweden as manager of DC Nordic.

His departure comes in the wake of the decision to appoint a new Division Director of DC Pork, Danish Crown's largest division.

For competitive reasons, he will be leaving his office at DC Nordic within the next few weeks. He will carry on as CEO of Friland until a new solution has been found, but will be assisting both Danish Crown and Friland as necessary until the end of April next year.
