US Ambassador in Bangladesh Marcia Bernicat has expressed the hope that the partnership between Bangladesh and US businesses will grow further in future. This was reported by the local newspaper The Financial Express, Dhaka.
"The opening of a new US-based global brand restaurant will create job opportunities for hundreds of Bangladeshis," she said while inaugurating the first outlet of Burger King at Banani in the city. Besides, it would help boost consumption of agricultural products of Bangladesh, she added.

The US envoy also thanked the franchiser to extend their hands in the Bangladesh market and all employees of Burger King, Bangladesh for their hard work for launching a new outlet.

Tiffin Box Limited, a Bangla Trac group company, is the franchisee, who made a long time development agreement to launch and expand the Burger King brand in Bangladesh. Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director of Tiffin Box Limited Tarique E. Haque said, "Bringing Burger King restaurant to Bangladesh is a strategic move of Bangla Trac Group." Burger King, Bangladesh uses local agricultural products. So, it does not only create a new brand image but also helps to extend our agro-products, he added.
